History:
Respite Tours received funding in 2004 from NSW Dept of Health to set up a social and educational program for Carers of people with Disabilities (to age 65) . The program ran successfully from October 2004-October 2007 .
(The funding allocation originally allowed for a two year program, but because of careful allocation of resources it was able to be extended for a further year).
Now, the program is self -managed by a few of the original participants. It is simply a coffee group of a few friends that meet informally once a month.
